FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

HOW DO I BOOK MY PLACE AT SPROUTS FARM CLUB?

  1. Head to the BOOKING page of our website.

  2. Check to see if your class is available - if it is not showing, the class is fully booked.

  3. If there is availability, follow the steps provided to complete your booking. If not, please contact Grace: grace@thefarmschooljersey.com and ask to be popped onto the waiting list.

A full kit list will be provided to you in your welcome letter once you have registered your place.

For every class this year, children will need to bring their own gardening gloves. You can buy these from any of our lovely garden centres in Jersey. B&Q also offer affordable gloves in children’s sizes.

FARM TOTS: Wellies or old trainers, gloves, waterproofs (all in ones are FAB for puddles!), water and a snack is always advisable!

CLUBS: Wellies or old trainers, waterproof, warm clothes, sun hat, suncream, water bottle, healthy snack, bag to take home veggies, and a pair of gloves.

HOLIDAY CAMPS: Pack lunch, wellies or old trainers, waterproof, warm clothes (or change of clothes), sun hat, suncream, water bottle, healthy snacks, bag to take home veggies, and a pair of gloves.

WHAT KITS DOES MY CHILD NEED FOR CLUBS / HOLIDAY CAMPS?

CAN PARENTS COME TO CLASS?

No.

We’ve found that children thrive on the farm when given the opportunity to learn independently. As covid restrictions have eased, you are welcome to wait at the farm in the car park or under one of our shelters. If you are going to sit under one of our shelters we ask you follow our biosecurity measures in place to keep our animals safe.

The only classes parents can join us is for Farm Tots - where toddlers need an adult to bring them to class!

Guidance will be provided to those signed up in a welcome letter for when you drop off / collect your young farmer from Sprouts. If your child is too nervous to come to clubs without you, it is worth waiting until they are ready before signing them up to a session.

Yes.

We are not able to process individual days or part-week bookings.

DO WE HAVE TO BOOK A FULL WEEK FOR SUMMER CAMPS

CAN BABIES / younger siblings COME ALONG TO THE FARM TOTS CLASSES?

If you have a child aged between 2-4 years signed up to a farm tots class, younger siblings (under 2) can come along too. It is advisable to use a sling / carrier for your baby instead of a pram - as the farm is tricky to navigate on wheels! We are limited on the number of adults able to join us in these sessions, so you will need to be confident you can keep an eye on both children during the class.

If your child is under the age of 2, please wait until they are old enough to sign up to a Tots class (without an older sibling). The main activities cater to children aged 2 and older, so it’s best to wait (even if your little one is an early walker).

No.

Your child needs to be in Reception or older to join us for our Monday After School group or either session time on a Saturday. They can join in on the farm tots Preschool sessions (Friday afternoons) until they are in Reception class at Primary School.

Holiday camps are available for children in Year 2 or older. If they turning 7 in July / August, but in Year 2 at school - they don’t need to wait to turn 7 before joining us for a week at camp.

MY CHILD IS 6, BUT IN YEAR 2 AT SCHOOL. ARE THEY OLD ENOUGH FOR FARM HOLIDAY CAMPS?

No.

DO YOU OFFER DISCOUNT FOR SIBLINGS BOOKED IN THE SAME CLASS?

Not at the moment! Our club is also a working farm, so we are not sure when we’d fit extra sessions in - but watch this space.
